Working in the Harter, Secrest and Emery law firm, Lois Smith has been cited as the legal assistant of the year
by the Paralegal Association of Rochester. She is a certified and licensed paralegal where she was able to receive
her recognition in May of 2006.
Lois Smith has been a certified and licensed paralegal in the Harter, Secret and Emery law firm for more than a
decade now. She started her career since 1975 where she specializes in estate and trust administration. Assisting
in the preparation of gift taxation returns, she is also responsible for the tariff gains be it fiduciary or
individual of their clients.
Among of the certified and licensed paralegal that founded the Paralegal Association of Rochester, Lois Smith
also served as the vice- president of the newsletter committee. The award was given to her for excellent role in
